Where it comes from
Margot Anand, a French OSHO student, synthesized tantric practice into a structured curriculum she called SkyDancing in the early 1980s. Her book "The Art of Sexual Ecstasy" introduced tantra to millions of mainstream Western readers.
What you actually do
Structured exercises in three-day modules — communication, breath, conscious touch, partnered ritual. Highly teachable, highly transferable.
Common misconceptions
- SkyDancing is the only legitimate Western tantra (it is one school of many)
- It is purely sexual (much of the work is non-sexual intimacy practice)
Who this is best for
- Couples wanting a clear curriculum
- People who learn well from books before workshops
Who this is NOT for
- People allergic to "spiritual" framing
How it shows up in Tantra Clinic programs
The "yes/no/maybe" practice and the wave-of-bliss breath are directly drawn from this lineage.
