Finding tantra help in Cambridge
Cambridge sits in an odd position for this kind of work: a city full of people comfortable reading evidence, in a region with few tantra-trained practitioners of its own, an hour from London where most of the UK's qualified somatic and psychosexual specialists actually are. We work with people in Cambridge accordingly. Private online sessions from home, grounded and clinically honest rather than mystical, and where in-person work matters, help finding and vetting a practitioner, in London or closer, whose training stands up to scrutiny. Tell us what's going on through the enquiry form and we'll reply personally, in confidence.
What tantra-based work covers that the NHS doesn't
NHS services around Cambridge handle the medical side of sexual difficulty: GP assessment, hormonal screening, erectile workups, sexual health clinics. Psychosexual therapy exists within the NHS but access is patchy and waiting lists are long, and structured somatic work, the breath, attention and body-awareness side, is rarely offered at all. That's the gap this work fills: performance anxiety, disconnection from sensation during sex, desire differences in a couple, difficulty staying present with a partner. None of it replaces medical assessment, and we'll say so plainly if your situation needs a GP before it needs us. The evidence base for the closest researched relatives of this work, mindfulness-based approaches to sexual difficulty, is genuine but bounded, and we'd rather you knew that going in than be sold a transformation.
Vetting a practitioner from Cambridge
The UK barely regulates the word therapist any more tightly than Ireland does, but it has one clear marker for this field: COSRT, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists, whose accredited members have substantial supervised psychosexual training and a code of ethics with teeth. For tantra-specific and somatic practitioners no equivalent register exists, so the vetting falls to you: named training, written consent and touch boundaries, professional insurance, and straight answers to direct questions. Most qualified practitioners cluster in London, which from Cambridge is a manageable train trip for occasional in-person work even if the bulk of it happens online. If you'd rather not run those checks alone, that's part of what the enquiry form is for.

Frequently asked questions
Are there tantra practitioners in Cambridge?+
Few, and we don't claim a local roster. The UK's qualified somatic and psychosexual practitioners concentrate in London, and Cambridge itself is thinly served. Online sessions cover most of what people are actually looking for, and London is close enough that occasional in-person work is practical when it's genuinely needed. We can help you find and vet someone rather than leaving it to a search engine.
How is this different from seeing a sex therapist?+
A COSRT-accredited sex therapist works primarily through structured conversation, and for many concerns that's exactly right. Tantra-based work is somatic: it uses breath, attention training and body-awareness practice to change what happens in the body during intimacy, not just how you think about it. The approaches complement each other, and part of our first reply is an honest view on which fits your situation, including when the answer is a therapist rather than us.
Cambridge is a small city. Is this discreet?+
Yes. Enquiries are read personally and never shared, sessions are online and unrecorded, and there's no clinic to be seen entering. You can use a first name only at first contact. If we do connect you with an in-person practitioner, that introduction happens with your explicit consent, and nothing about you is passed on before you've agreed to it.
